IP Casino Resort Spa rolled out the pink carpet for the seventh annual Renaissance the Runway fundraiser event benefiting the Bacot Foundation of South Mississippi. The fashion show has become a yearly favorite for those along the Coast, and this year’s ‘Barbie’ themed festivities saw a sold-out crowd of over 500 guests come together for a night of fashion, fun and community.

The Bacot Foundation of South Mississippi is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to bring positive and long-lasting change to the Mississippi Gulf Coast community. The Foundation works with over 30 agencies in the area who focus on supporting local youth, education and the arts. Renaissance the Runway is one of the organization’s largest fundraisers for their scholarship program, which assists hundreds of students in attaining higher education.

In addition to the fashion show, where over 60 community leaders and models graced the stage in clothing from local boutiques and designers, guests were encouraged to purchase raffle tickets to enter to win prizes, including a Barbie-pink golf cart and a staycation at IP.

Thanks to the generous support of the community, and a $100,000 donation from IP, the event raised over $250,000, concluding with a check presentation on behalf of the local Gulfport community.
